      York YLAE 315 HE

      Hi All,

Got a York YLAE 0315 HE with a bad TXV on circuit # 1.

This Chiller is 2007 and spares have told me the TXV is obsolete.

Would anyone know the size oft he current danfoss TXV so that I might be able to see if I can get something locally?

      • Hey Paul, I cant find any details on the Danfoss valve. these are produced only for YORK and therefore have very little documentation available. the part number you are after is ‘025-40666-000’.

from what I found on the Danfoss brochure you would likely be looking for something like this: https://store.danfoss.com/us/en_US/Climate-Solutions-for-cooling/Valves/Expansion-valves/Thermostatic-expansion-valves/TGE/Thermostatic-expansion-valve%2C-TGE%2C-R410A/p/067N9218

        • Hi Wessel, thank you for the reply. According to spares the old part number is 025-40900-004, but I cannot find that in my part manual. I can find 025-40681-000 for units built after November 2006. your part number is before November 2006 according to my parts manual. They have offered a EEV retrofit, but it is a wild price, so I will try to finad something else., . The part they offered was 398L04633-000 for system 1 only. I have a local fridge company looking into it for me. I guess the only question is, what is the size of the curent danfoss valve.

        • I recokoned it would have been about 180 or so. Circuit # 1 has a larger circuit. It has 2 No. ZP385 compressors while circuit # 2 has 2 No ZP 295, but yep 160KW will do fine. Thanks a million for your help Wessel. Greatly appreciated.

          • @chillmac ah alright, the spec sheet I was looking at was two systems of the same size. in that case you are probably correct with the assumption of 180ish kw.

it seems as though I’ve led you done the garden path rather than assisted but I’m glad it was appreciated.

          • Hey Wessel, it’s my bad, should have explained it better in my opening post. And yes, your replies are greatly appreciated, thank you very much.
