  • Best way to get into the chiller side full time

I’ve been in the HVAC/R industry for about 5 years now as a general technician and I’ve decided that I really want to start pushing my career into the chiller side but don’t know where to begin. I’ve talked with my boss about it and he’s said he’d try getting me training but the department I’m in has no senior level chiller techs or enough…

    Trane rtaf tab reports

Just had these 2 rtaf chillers tab’d last week. Install was 7-2025 and still not really fully commissioned due to so many issues with controls, programming, and some yet to be completed odds and ends. But my focus here is water flowrate. This is literally all we recieved for a tab report. The guy performing the tab work said he didnt have…

    RTAF

I have a Trane 410t RTAF. I have circuit 1 locked out on the HMI. As it is being repaired and is on a vaccum. I am looking to run circuit 2 but the low evap pressure on circuit 1 inhibits circuit 2 from running. I have been reading document # RTAF-SVX001P-EN and I cannot find why circuit 1 is holding off circuit 2. I have 75psia in the evap of circuit 2.

    Hello technicians,

I am encountering an issue with a Hitachi chiller. After replacing the screw compressor and completing the installation, the unit frequently reports a “low suction line temperature” error.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this?j
