      York YCSA 100

Got a YCAS 100 with Carel UC2 controls on it. It’s a pretty old Chiller and is only ever used in emergency. The Chiller has its own integral pump.

This past while it been alarming on tP which i believe is General alarm. This will happen even though the Chiller is not running, so pump, compressors & fans are all off.

Anyone come across this before and if so can you let me know what the cause was?

One of the fan motors does need to be changed out and it is hard to get going, bearings are almost gone. If the tP alarm is a thermal alarm, then I suppose it could be any of the motors on the Chiller. This Chiller has 2 Compressors on a single system.

      Any help is appreciated.

Never seen it on a York, is it factory or aftermarket?

Whats the configuration of your digital input ID1 (P08), and whats wired into it?

Pulled the screenshots from the controller Manual

        • @the-chiller-guys Yes its defiantly factory, not aftermarket.
          I ned to go have a look but I reckon PO8 = 3.
I will probably have to loop out the thermal overloads one by one to see if I can find which one is causing it. Issue is, this chiller never run’s. back up only and the alarm appear erratically.
So it will take a bit of time to try to find out what causes.
