We are currently performing a rebuild on a McQuay/Daikin WSC087 chiller.

We are breaking down the vane assembly now and are running into an issue on the set pins. We have screwed in the 10/32 rods but the pins will not move. Is there a hidden trick to getting them out?

@DHarris Sorry for the Delay. Just an FYI, only the private groups send emails to everyone, FYI. you can post in them from the homepage as well, you just need to select the group in the dropdown.

your looking to remove the dowel pins in the cap correct? so you. can get access to the individual veins?

If so, you need to use a slide hammer with your 10/32 rods to pull the pins BEFORE you remove the allen screws.

Add some photos if you can so we can see.

@DHarris check out the last comment, and let us know what you come up with brother!

          • Slide hammer did the job perfectly. We are currently waiting on the Orings to reassemble.
