Keep getting this nuisance comm loss diagnostic on a CGAM, I’ve even relocated the board in the comm loop just to verify it wasn’t the cable at the end of the loop. Any ideas?

its very common that the connectors on those get corroded, or wet, and cause random comm loss issues. Sometimes a component can also pull the network down.
can you plug it into the first com cable to see if you can get communication there with everything else is unplugged? if not its the board.
if you can get communication there, you may have something pulling down the network.

@eric-cas also check the trane controls and the CGAM literature, we have some stuff in there, but cant remember how much we uploaded

Thanks, it’s a random comm loss, I even switched the quad relay board(brand new OEM) around to a different position in the cabinet, and it still trips, I can watch it all day, and it will cycle the fans, and the frequency drive will stage up then down, this thing is driving me nuts.

@eric-cas How often is it unbinding?

Like I was saying in your other post. If you have one corroded terminal in the network, it can cause this issue, especially if it’s a brand new board.
Go around everything, daisy chain plugs, eevs, sensors, etc.. and work the connections back and forth, and inspect them. One component, even if it’s not that board, can cause issues all over the network.2-
Can you confirm you did change the board as well?

Check other modules for good connection and communication. Rs232 485 and all other ones not always means that you lost com with this one or it’s bad. Like daisies chain it’s the one before.. or noise came from the one that was attempting to communicating while this one bc same addressing. I would check nearby for good wires. And idk tech view allows to go that deep. Never did venture this way..
