Hi, I have a Trane series R RTUD 160A. The serial port on the main processor solder joints broke. Trane rep wants to replace the entire Dyna View display. Even though they are the only one who use the port and obviously they broke it. They’re trying to pull one over on me I feel like

I found a brand new OEM Main processor and installed it. It said no application found like I predicted, but I quickly installed the original to get the chiller cycling again.

After going through your video about getting the techview software (Tracer CH530), how confident should I be that I can handle this. I am tech savvy and mechanically inclined.

Any heads up or preparedness I can get to confidently ensure we get this installed and get it working?

      • Reinstalled the original “Main processor” with the broken serial port if I didn’t make sense.

Let me know the answers to the following questions.
are you able to get the old controller to connect to the Techview program?
Are the machines tied to automation?
Do you have an identical machine on site that you reference if needed for configuration?
