“Hi everyone,I’m new to the chiller industry and would really appreciate some guidance.
I’m currently working with a Carrier 19XR water-cooled chiller that’s experiencing frequent surging and eventually trips on high load surge protection. I’ve attached some videos showing the issue in action.
Could anyone help point me in the right direction or share any insights on what might be causing this?”

Has the system had it’s tubes cleaned? If anyone has worked on this recently, did they pull it down to vac and did they purge the gauge lines properly before charging the system? It looks like it could be blocked condenser tubes or non condensables in the system

Pressure drop across the Evap, and what is actual measured with your gauge.
