I can feel my ear drums bursting looking at that. We have one down our way – the largest centrif in the Southern Hemisphere.

@the-chiller-guys I don’t rightly remember, I’m afraid. But this thing needed a truck gantry and a 5 tonne rated strap to take the end-plates off. In your terms this thing was roughly 40-50ft tall.

@the-chiller-guys not on this phone sadly. But this thing was considerably gigantic. I think it may be one of the very early centra-vac units. They put in carrier units nearby to do the mall. But they didn’t install header tanks, so the chilled water run was absolute rubbish. I wish I kept all of my old photos.

Some of the guys in here get into the steam turbine machines, and those bad boys get big as well lol
