      Hi guys; I have a carrier M# 40RAP0606DA08F00 S# 3114Q51420

4 total compressors 2 and 2 tandem, A side had to be shut down due to a leak in the condenser. B side of the chiller will only run one compressor B2.. Condenser is very dirty and is going to be cleaned tomorrow in am. I am quite sure that once it is cleaned we will be low on refrigerant. The circulator pump is in question and will changes as well, may not be tomorrow as one is on order. Just inside the chiller condenser compartment we have a screen blow out valve that once it starts it sounds like a water hammer in this blow out port. Can any one tell me if they have had this noise from a screen blow out port.? More that one problem here for sure, the noise from this valve I have not heard before. Please let me know so as I move forward getting this chiller cleaned up I may be able to move forward with some of the mysteries. This is a very long run of I would say 160″ as well. I have suspicion that we may have some air in the system due to water leaks at the air handler. Tomorrow I will have much more information as we start fresh with it again.?

      • I think your on the right track, After you get those coils cleaned, can you get us some more information?

Can you give us you refrigerant readings, suction, discharge, superheat, etc..
        Water pressure drop.
        Static system fill pressure.

with that we should have something to go off of.

        Let us know brother.
