Hi All,
TT300,
I have an issue where during a calibration check my compressor will change from the calibration mode back to network mode and fail the calibration. When I force the compressor into calibration mode first it will complete the calibration audibly but still stop on SMT. I have attached a yenta of this happening, if you watch the compressor mode you will see it change from calibration to network.
the first file is from a calibration where i let the SMT sort out what mode it wants to be in
the second file is where i forced it into calibration mode myself and it has passed.
the last is a yenta during the failed attempt. – I get “Invalid system status (0)” for second before it switches back to network mode.

Do you have the chiller controller com disconnected from the I/O board when your doing the calibration ?

@joe-patton Wessel, check what Joe said, and let us know.
Also, you will get a faster response if you post it in the Centrifugal group. Then we all get emails.

Wessel, I would try using the newest version of SMT ( 3.6.2 ) first and see if it does the same thing. I do know that some of the older BMCC firmware would allow the control source to be changed during a bearing calibration, but with the compressor controller com wire and interlock disconnected that shouldn’t happen. If using the latest version of the SMT software doesn’t rectify the problem , then I would start thinking that something is corrupt in the BMCC.

@joe-patton I’m using 3.6.2, ive tried all the other versions I have laying around too with no change.
Ill try swap out the bmcc from another compressor.

@Vas if you do that, it’s like installing a new one, you need to go through the calibration and Save To EPROM (follow the procedure in the danfoss literature). Everything you need should be in the member files
Take a look in the book to make sure you have everything covered. That’s the brains of the operation, you don’t want to break the compressor1
