YORK: YVAA R513A 200Ton screw compressor help

Hey tech family! I need some help.

I found this chiller with an alarm for system 1 & sytem 2: warning: Low Discharge Superheat Recovery.

What does this mean. I’ve read a lot on this chiller. Its maintaining 55F setpoint in the 35F ambient temperature but the warning continues to pop up, can anyone help?

      • “The safety is ignored for the first 10 minutes of operation
if the system economizer feed valve is closed
(0%) and for 5 minutes of operation if the economizer
feed valve is open greater than 0%. If the discharge
superheat falls below 5.0°F for 5 minutes under either
condition, the system will shut down.”

        • Thanks. I’m not shutting down. But I have noticed they are at low load conditions. I’m seeing just a warning. I have realized that I think it’s the chiller telling me it’s at the low limit point. Think of a vfd when it’s throwing a high amp limit warning. That’s the vfd letting you know it’s at its limit to protect its self. Any thoughts on that?
