      Smardt Air Cooled AD120

Hey everyone need a little help. Got myself infront of a Smardt AD120 and I’ve got an alarm for compressor 2 overcurrent rotor may be locked. This has the danfoss turbocor TTS350 in it. And I’m not the most proficient with the turbocors. Only worked on them a handful of times and it was maintenance related for everything else on those. Way more hands on with screws and standard centrifugals. Smardt support is as always taking their sweet time, no manual on site and no access beyond visible on the control panel. Circuit 1 is running and maintaining the load of my facility. Flow is good, approach is within operating conditions, condenser fans are running. If anyone has some extra insight I’m all ears.

      • What’s the last 4 digits of the serial number?

What software version is it running? Does it have automatic suction isolation valves?

Generally locked rotor starts are caused by liquid in the compressor. This can be caused by a number of issues.

Failed staging valve, failed compressor cooling relays in the serial board, carry over.

Are you running flow during off cycle?

When you say “flow is good” what does that mean? What is your nameplate pressure drop and what is your evap DP measured AT the barrel.
