      30HXA T140 comp A1 oil pres alarm

Im relatively new to working on chillers and I have a new Carrier 30HXA chiller throwing a T140 alarm. The oil pressure difference is 47.4 psi for the filter. I was just wondering what causes could cause the filter to plug up. It recently had a leak and was only holding 76 lbs of the 186lbs it is supposed to hold and I was able to get it fixed but it had ran on that charge for roughly 3 months. Could this have caused oil degradation or unnecessary wear on the compressor? I know I need to replace the oil filter and maybe even the internal oil filter, but should I do a complete oil change and also send off a oil sample to ensure there isnt bigger issues causing this? Thank you all for any help!

      • Oil is hydroscopic in this machine, depending on leak it may be contaminated. Internal and external need replacement every year.
