      Daikin AGZ Series

Im working on a 50 Ton Daikin AGZ. System is grossly oversized for application. I currently have Circuit 1 Tandum out for quote but were trying to keep Circuit 2 online. It started out once in awhile C2 Low Evap Pressure but now its everyday. Compared physical pressures to transducers and both read accurately. System has a new flow switch installed about a month ago. Systems not low on charge on C2. Weve had multiple techs onsite and after cycling power chiller runs and operates then trips between 12am-2am.

Do you know if they calibrated the flow switch?

If you have the thermal dispersion switch, it’s very easy.

The chiller is just responding to the conditions. Could be flow, a configuration issue, system issue, etc..

Only way we can point you in the right direction is with a log sheet.

        Can you complete the following:

        1. check the pressure drop across the water side on the evap, and compare it to the flow chart for that model evap in the IOM

        2. verify all sensors and transducers are calibrated.

        3. fill out a log sheet (we have them in the “technician resources in the member files”)

Once we know you have good data, and we can see the data, we can tell you where the issue is.

Is this at the same time every day? I would check the pumps and BMS

          • sounds like BMS is cutting pumps off and closing valves before cycling chiller
