Has anyone actually attended Trane training, either technician side or engineer side, up in La Crosse, WI?
My maintenance guys are asking to possibly get some training but didn’t know if paying for the trip up there was worth it. Wondered if anyone here has experience with it, positive or negative.Member Post, Member Post and 2 others3 Comments-
I have been to the teardown training on the CVHE and f units. we went to garland texas, and it was definitely worth the money. It was 4 days of tearing a compressor down and rebuilding it. And then we did a day of troubleshooting and technical stuff. Then, we got a bunch of manuals and personal records from the instructors on teardowns and troubleshooting. That was through nte tech, so I don’t know if yours will be the same. But if you get a chance to hit the one in garland texas, definitely sign up and go for it.

@icecreamfitter Thanks for the advice!
I have seen Trane techs go through a CVHE rebuild in-situ on one of our office building chillers and that was quite the amount of effort, sooo much to take apart.
I will reach out to see if there is any training in Garland, TX, that is much closer to our plant and would be easy to justify.1

The training in Garland Texas is Entech Sales & Service, they are not Trane but very good training. I would recommend them, I’ve been there on other classes.
