Trane CVHE045 with the UC800 Symbio control. I need to replace the high power relay output board in the purge unit. Do I have to bind the board with the service tool?

No, it has to be Tracer TU

I have not tried it before because I have the software but if you bind one on a CH530 chiller, power the chiller down and put the original one back in and then put the one you bound in your UC800 chiller after powering it down, it might work.
-
@jselvage unfortunately, I dont have the ability to do that. Don’t have a CH530 chiller available to me.

Is binding “enabled” on front panel?
-
@mikemechanic77 where would I find that? Ive looked in all menus and dont see anything.
-
@goldie If it’s enabled it shouldn’t be hard to find. Looks like Start up disabled it. It should be enabled by default. That’s Frustrating!

If you have a Symbio 800 you should be able to bind from front panel display. Look for LLID binding in the settings tab. you will need to the ultra secret password though

@R514a please do share this ultra secret piece of information as im new to the Trane game and looking to learn my good sir.

@goldie i believe its 7123

@R514a do I need to login with that password first? I did not see any binding menu in the settings tab
-
@R514a unfortunately, this is a old shitty condo and Trane won’t be coming by unless they call. Is there anything your friendly neighborhood chiller guy can do?
-
@goldie So you sure you dont see this?
-
-
@R514a I am 99% sure I do not.
I am headed back to the site on Friday so I will take a look and post a pic of what I see. I looks like an older software version from that as well. Chiller was installed in 2012 I believe and only updated by Trane once.
-
@goldie Oh, ok, so it’s not a Symbio, it’s just a UC800. Yes, I believe the latest version of the software must be at least 15.01, where they added the LLID feature. Have the customer call Trane and have them update the firmware and enable the LLID feature; it’s better for everybody in the long run.

@goldie You can check the software revision by hitting the “i” button on the home screen.

Ill check her out and let you know what I see.

Ch530 requires Trane TechView
Adaptiview (uc800) requires Trane TU in most cases unless your adaptiview panel has the binding option activated. If you don’t have these options available you will have to get Trane involved.1
