R410A recovery
Hello guys ، What are the steps and best methods to recover R410A refrigerant properly without causing refrigerant fractionation or blend separation issues? I want to avoid common problems like refrigerant fractionation during recovery. Any recommended procedures or tips for safe and effective recovery?

A refrigerant subcooler is your friend.
You don’t need to worry about fractionation if you are going to put it back in.
Did you lose a lot of charge, or just pulling it for a repair?

@muhammedh For future reference, the specifications, and manuals are online for most tools, FYI
if this is your first time, I recommend working with another guy, so you don’t get hurt.

The difference is so marginal. That’s why its a near azetropic blend.

U can simply make a subcooler of your own …that would be quite helpful

@jasonjohnsonhvac has some good videos on youtube where he made his own subcooler.
It will work much better than most commercially available ones.

Here is my latest subcooler. I use it for medium pressure refrigerants only. I have one for high pressure refrigerants as well. Like 410a,R32,454b

@jasonjohnsonhvac that’s awesome I recently made my own subcooler out of a coaxial coil from a heat pump pressure tested to 400psi but I haven’t tried it out yet

@andrew-o I want to get a coaxial coil, but I never come across WSHP anymore. I’m sure yours is gonna kill it
