First overhaul. Trane CVHF770. It was a great experience. Been in the field for a while now and just transfered to our Central Plant Team last year. It was intimidating at first becaue of all the rigging, but me and my coworker knocked it out. It was a great feeling hearing it start-up. Looking forward to doing some more! Still have a lot to learn.

    YLAA Chiller

Has anyone come across a YLAA Chiller that changed its type from Liquid Chiller to Condensing Unit?

    This is a 2024 model on R454B with EEV’s.

It had two faults for this, but it is running fine now. Faults recorded 6 months ago. No one on site would go anywhere near the chiller, so not sure how this happened.

Carrier chiller I get to work on

We have a client with three of these old Carriers 30HR140-600C. A few years back we replaced the original controllers with Honeywell T775s w/expansion modules. Also converted to 407C. Some leaks, some TXV heads, over the years, still running strong. These are about as big as we go as a company. No centrifugal work. These run like sewing…

CGAM - Loss of Charge Alarm

    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some assistance with a 26-ton CGAM chiller. We acquired this customer about a month ago, and I’ve been chasing an issue that has me stumped.

The original complaint was that the chiller would not run because the flow switch would not prove. According to the customer, the chiller was installed about seven years ago. It…
